For the first time in its long history, the Stavropol Territory has become the country’s baking capital. Representatives of many Russian regions came here as participants in the bread forum.
The forum, in the best traditions of the genre, started with a tasting. No one here had any doubts about the freshness of the bakery, so the need to verify the date of manufacture has disappeared completely. The luminaries of the Stavropol grain industry showed their aromatic works to the general public. Delicious rolls, pies with cabbage, breads with dried apricots and raisins — what was just not there! The assortment also included the latest flour developments that have not yet gone on sale. For example, baked goods with stevia, a recently discovered natural sweetener. «So far, bagels and muffins with stevia cannot be bought, but the products will soon be on the shelves,» notes Elena Skorbina, lecturer at the Department of Production Technology. — Even the name has already been invented: «Product line» sweet morning «.
During the forum, a number of future tasks for the bakery industry of the region were identified. This is an expansion of the range, and a decrease in prices for flour products, and an improvement in the quality of useful goods. To help resolve these and other issues, Yuri Kantsnelson, head of the Russian Guild of Bakers and Confectioners, visited Stavropol himself. And in Krasnoyarsk, a chef from Italy treated local residents to branded croissants and muffins. Visitors of the Fresh Food Fair were able to enjoy Italian pastries.
