Lincoln showed their latest concept (MKZ) at NAIAS with their intentions for the future design paths they are ready to embrace. MKZ concept is «elegant simplicity» and unconventional luxury.
Recognizable Lincoln traits have not gone unnoticed — the radiator grille, although very conceptual, still retains the split-wing image as it did on the first Lincoln Zephyr in 1938..
On the inside, a mix of poplar wood, aluminum and leather complements the bold exterior design. The quad cabin is spacious and uses some tweaks — a gearshift button, a 10-inch MyLincoln touchscreen for the driver, and an 8-inch in the middle.
For propulsion, the MKZ most likely uses the MKS and MKT EcoBoost engines that come with Drive Control. The suspension will also use a Lincoln damping system (CCD) with constant performance control. Transmission settings include both FWD. and AWD.
