Enlarged Structures: Acoustic Formations ”is an enlarged structure, a setup created using innovative parametric architecture and audiovisual techniques. Projects deal with a new established space: how to translate media logic into architecture? In this first area of experiment, Istiklal Street recordings were transformed in to a parametric architectural structure. The recordings were also used to create an electro-acoustic composition. The project seeks interactions between space, sound, visual and light (citing Le Courbusier’s Philips Pavilion). Beyond being artwork, this installation is an urban experience that will nest in the collective memory of İstiklal street visitors across its scale (200 sq. .m. surface) and location dominance (at the heart of Istanbul). During the night, visual work was projected on a structure, which was accompanied with a developed modern aesthetic visuals generatively consisting of input from recordings and their converted versions, synchronized to the movement of graphic change and transforming the structure on which they were designed. The structure, which in turn is influenced and the transformed design is also.
