On December 20, a meeting of the commission chaired by the governor of the Murmansk region Yevdokimov Y., consisting of heads of leading enterprises, took place. The main topic of discussion was the state of the Murmansk transport hub today, as well as the plan for its development. At the beginning of the meeting, the governor said that the crisis has not spared the Murmansk region, but the government is taking all possible measures to support the work of both large enterprises and small and medium-sized businesses. Financial support is provided to city-forming enterprises, subsidies for agriculture have been increased, etc. Murmansk, which stands at the very beginning of the Northern Sea Route, is the beginning of a corridor for the development of new sales markets, both in our country and abroad. It is necessary not only to support, but also to continue the development of this transport hub, because it is the main connecting link of all industries, from production centers to the sale of finished products. As the Governor noted, the Industrial Portal of the Murmansk Region will be able to provide information support for these events. The main problems that need to be solved in the near future are the renovation of the commercial port, which was built back in the 70-80s of the last century. It is necessary to change the infrastructure so that it matches the new times and technologies. And also update the fleet. Build new ships. Complete the construction of our own transshipment terminal. Create a centralized hub for servicing ships and passengers.
