Peter Leek was born in Australia. His Czech parents emigrated to this country when the Second World War ended.
The boy took his first photo when he was only 8 years old. At this age, his parents bought him a Kodak. Peter captured the web in their garden, already showing an interest in nature photography.
As a teenager, Peter carried his camera with him when he went on holiday trips with his parents. He photographed sea views, country landscapes. As he got older, Lik began to make forays into wild enough places to capture the beauty of nature.
In the mid-80s, Peter began to travel around the United States, visited Alaska. During this period, he began to use large-format cameras to take spectacular panoramic shots.
In the late 80s, Peter photographed the landscapes of 50 states, after which the Spirit of America album was released.
In the first half of the 90s, Leek worked in the tourism industry in Australia, which gave him the opportunity to travel a lot around the country, filming unusual picturesque corners.
Since the mid-90s, Peter has settled in the United States, establishing his own company and publishing house in this country.
Lika’s company specialized in the production of books, calendars, postcards with the works of the photographer himself. In the late 90s, his book about Australia was released.
