From the beginning of the coming year, the traffic police officers will not be fined or any other punishment applied to drivers for not having a technical inspection, since the corresponding paragraph was excluded from the Code of Administrative Offenses (abbreviated to the Code of Administrative Offenses). In the old days, the driver for the absence of a technical inspection ticket was subject to a fine of two and a half thousand Russian rubles, as well as suspension from driving and detention of the vehicle. It is possible that in the future, technical inspection coupons will no longer be issued at all, since the point in this will disappear thanks to the unified automated information system for technical inspection (abbreviated as EAISTO). At the same time, the only thing for which this coupon is needed is to issue an OSAGO policy, however, in this case, the insurers will check on the base whether a particular car has undergone a technical inspection or not, and then make a decision based on this information.
